Purpose of the Job
The Blending Technician is responsible for receiving spirts and other blend ingredients from Warehouse, Customers and other forms to follow customer requirements to ensure spirits has been blended to customer specifications with additional raw ingredients and preparing a finished product that is bottle ready.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Use of forklift to move barrels and or totes
- Use pump equipment to extract and move distilled spirits from tanks, totes, and tankers
- Use computer for calculating the volume, proof, and weight of spirits to determine the amount of water and other raw ingredients are needed to complete a blend.
- Use scales for measuring dry and liquid ingredients.
- Use filter equipment to remove solids (charcoal, wood, particulate matter, etc.).
- Use and operate chill filtration equipment
- Understand and use a lenticular filter.
- Ability to understand and use a plate and frame filter.
- Operate pumps and hoses to move distilled spirits or other ingredients from tanks, barrels, and totes.
- Read and understand the blending order for instructions on proof and flavors according to customer specifications.
- Transfer spirits and blend spirits with other ingredients such as water, other flavors, glycerin, acid, dextrose, and caramel color to customer specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- After blending completion, check proof to ensure adequate quantity of finished product to fill customer order.
- Keep a clean and tidy work station.
- Daily check tanks to measure proof.

- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to read and follow blending instructions
- Ability to use computer software for tracking and communication tasks
- Must have the ability to collect and analyze information and make decisions.
- Must have the ability to work in a strong team-based environment.
- Must have strong time management skills
