Bottling Line Lead

Job Title: Bottling Maintenance Technician

Purpose of Job

The Bottling Line Lead is responsible for supporting daily operations on assigned bottling line at Tennessee Distilling Group. This role supports the Bottling Team Lead and works in collaboration with Bottling Maintenance and Logistics to ensure smooth production flow, minimal downtime, and consistent product quality. The Bottling Line Lead is a hands-on position, primarily focused on executing tasks assigned by the Bottling Team Lead and supporting overall line performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control checks throughout bottling operations to ensure finished goods meet customer specifications and company standards.
• Accurately record QC results, production counts, and downtime on paper logs and bottling documents. Communicate any nonconformances to the Quality Team.
• Accurately record and complete information on bottling checklists. Communicate any nonconformances to the Bottling Supervisor
• Operate bottling equipment as assigned (fillers, conveyors, cappers, labelers, carton erectors, case packers).
• Maintain and make adjustments on bottling equipment as assigned (fillers, conveyors, cappers, labelers)
• Supply materials to the line (glass, labels, closures, cartons) and remove packaged products for palletizing.
• Assist with pallet preparation and staging for shipment.
• Support sanitation and changeover activities, ensuring compliance with GMPs and company SOPs.
• Support enforcement of housekeeping and ensure the workplace remains organized, clean and audit-ready using standardized housekeeping practices (5S) across bottling operations.
• Communicate equipment or process issues to the Bottling Supervisor promptly and assist as directed.
• Follow all hygiene and PPE requirements for a GMP environment (hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, etc.).
• Support enforcement and coordinate with Flex Team members, as directed, to support GMP compliance and assist with line activities.
• Assist in rework activities as needed.
• Perform other line support tasks as assigned by the Bottling Supervisor based on production needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people is essential, including direct experience supervising, and guiding team members
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to operate production equipment and follow standardized procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to take direction from a Team Lead.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting production priorities and varied duties.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.
